These yearly awards are always an absolute joy to cover. Winners are presented with prizes and their stories are published in a paperback. Each winner reads a passage from their work. Staff from the University and a local printing company organise the event and there is a guest author.
The evening is held in the cafe area of Sunderland Waterstones, which is well worth a visit! There is a link to the event at the bottom of the page.
